Ramblings Now and Then

Summer Days are on the Way!
Mood:  lazy
Today's the first day I really felt the humidity. I just love smelling the freshly mown grass and the hint of wildflowers in the air.

My little Chessie girl has learned a new trick. Of all the cats I've ever known (and loved), Chessie is the first to play fetch. Throw her a bottle cap and she'll fly after it like a demon then pick it up in her mouth, bring it back to you and drop it on the floor for you to pick up and throw again! It's incredible. She'll do this for a good half hour until it finally ends in a petting session. She gets very affectionate after a round of bottle-cap fetch.

Was thinking of my friend today - the one that up and moved many states away. I wish her the best of luck and definitely hope I'll get to see her again soon. If by chance she reads this - YOU SUCK for moving away! We'll all get even with you someday by doing a Thelma and Louise and coming to visit your ass!

Tonight ends "Supernatural." The season finale. Don't know how many of my favorite TV shows will get picked up for another season, but I'm almost to the point where I'm not going to watch TV anymore - just buy DVD boxed sets when they come out. The networks and executives in charge are just too unpredictable and just plain stupid. I'm getting sick of playing their games.

Well, in case you couldn't tell, I don't have much to say tonight, but I promised my friend Chalicat that I would try to write more often. She asked for it - now she'll see just how boring of a life I lead.

Good night for now!

Hey, Don't Fall Off Your Chair!
Mood:  chillin'
Now I'll get a chance to see just how many people are checking out my blog. I'm finally writing again after about two months. I guess the only excuse I can give is that I was busy working on my website and didn't have time to write. Plus, I still have to get used to the fact that people may actually read my incoherent ramblings!

Did Pilates for the first time today. I signed up for a class that's being held at my job during lunchtime. A little sore, but not too much. Some of the moves are like Yoga, which I'm very familiar with. Overall I think I'm gonna like it.

Not much else happening in my world right now. Maybe one of those lulls before a flurry of activity. I actually wasn't online at home for quite a while due to being internet and cable TV challenged, thanks to the wonderful people at Time Warner Cable. I won't even start or I'll be here all night! Suffice it to say, they can take their cable, internet and phone service and shove 'em!

Anyway, before I get myself in a bad mood, let me continue on. Looking forward to a three-day trip to Austin, TX next week. Business related, but still - a trip is a trip. I haven't been to TX since the early 80's, so I'm really looking forward to it. Wish it was San Antonio, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm not paying for it.

Hey, I could really get the hang of this. I've pretty much blown away watching the season endings of all my favorite TV shows, courtesy of - AGAIN - good ole Time Warner Cable. I missed a few crucial weeks on some of them and now I can't get myself interested in picking up on them again. Especially Veronica Mars - miss a week or two and you're WAY behind. The only ones I refused to give up are LOST, Gilmore Girls and Supernatural. Even my beloved Bones will have to be watched in reruns over the summer.

Oh well - the weather's too nice now to come in early and watch TV. OHHHH OHHHH - this Friday night Hell's House Band returns to a local watering hole and I MUST GO SEE this excellent AC/DC cover band. Last time they played that venue, I ended up getting the flu half way through the evening and had to leave. UNHEARD OF! Me walking out on a AC/DC cover band - you KNOW I was seriously ill. But I'm definitely not missin' it this time around.

OK - now I'm comfortable doing this, so I'll be back often. So all you hoards of people can keep up with my exciting life. Forget Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - try keeping up with me!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Friday, February 10, 2006 - ALREADY!!!!
Mood:  caffeinated
Hi All
I set up my new site today. Just the bare bones of it for now. I'll need to add as I go along. But since I put a link to the blog there, I thought I better actually write something in this. I can't believe it's already almost mid-February and my last post was late January.

All is well and I can't wait to post more items to my brand-new site!

January 28, 2006
Mood:  lazy
Beautiful weather here in Northeast Ohio. Especially for January. Very mild, sunny and calm.

OK, enough with the weather report. I still have to get used to using this thing. Especially knowing that other people might potentially read it.

And just in case my son is reading this, I'd like to mention that I don't want him lugging around all his paraphnelia. He has my condolences. OK, inside joke.

He's probably the only one who will ever read this anyway.

Maybe I'll get the hang of this soon and not feel so weird doing it.

January 26, 2006 - Now What??
Mood:  spacey
Now Playing: Classical
Well, here I am. Wanted to start a blog because I think it's cool but don't have a damn thing to say right now.

Let's just call this the trial run to see if it works!

More later tonight.
